A new way of looking at Phoenix: from above! Camelback Mountain was a fantastic morning hike--so glad I squeezed it in before heading out of town. We arrived a little before 8 am and there was plenty of parking at the trail head. The parking lots and trails themselves are maintained really well.
Overall, we'd do the hike again and liked the option of ascending Cholla, which has a little bouldering at the top, then descending Echo Canyon, which is a bit steeper but has handrails for the steepest sections.
